What I've been up to

Sorry to disappoint, but I haven't taken any pictures lately. My birthday was a few weeks ago so we went out to dinner Friday and had some friends over for a cookout Sunday, but there is no photo evidence. I planted some dwarf reddish orange plants. I don't know their name and I didn't take any pictures. My daisies are blooming like crazy, but you wouldn't believe me, because there are no pictures. I also planted jalapeno, cilantro and onions and they are sprouting, but I have no proof to show you. We bought a rug for the living room that is brown with a paisley-like design on it. It matches the couch nicely and I can now sit on the floor and use the coffee table! I also made Jacob some pillows and arm covers for his man cave. Last week I shaved Kallie. Okay, maybe i should take some pics for my next post. Challenge accepted.

I am really loving the spring weather and daylight savings time!

The waves were massive. The undertoe was grabbing people and sucking them into the ocean. The pics don't do these waves justice. They were HUGE! Please ignore the strange man.

Lisa's Wedding

Was so beautiful and turned out exactly like they wanted. Lisa and Colton Hester were married on January 29, 2011 at Villa Antonia in Jonestown, TX. I was so honored and blessed to be a part of their glorious day.

Chop Chop

Tangles, static electricity, headaches... I am so ready for a haircut! Having long hair has been great for weddings and ponytails, but it requires constant untangling, which causes large amounts of static electricity to be generated, which causes me and others pain. I need a new do. Here's some pics I found of short hair that I was thinking of trying. Tell me what you think.

More craftiness

As of yesterday, I had 2 old cork boards lying around from my Jr. High days. One of them even had glow in the dark glue on it that spelled out Jill. Super cool. So I decided to make one of them more useful in my jill cave. I had made some curtains for the the back door and had a yard of fabric left over so I used it to convert the cork board into a ribbon board. I got to use 2 guns in the process: staple and glue. Who doesn't love shooting guns in the house?

Green Room

Mom and dad, Granny and Pap came to stay with me for Christmas, but they didn't come until lunchtime on the 24th. So I had some time to kill...
I painted this room at night after work on the 22nd and 23rd. It still needs some art for the walls and better furniture, but the color is growing on me. What do you think? Too Grinchy?
